I like my topshells in these two simple ways.
Spicy Topshell
(Hungry quote: This surely calls for really chilled beer)
Ingredients:
½ can topshells (preferred brand: Fortune)
4 limes, juice only
2 shallot, minced
Chilli padi – depends how spicy you want it to be
This is the easiest recipe ever, I guess.
Steps:
- Cut the topshells into biteable bit.
- Squeeze lime juice and slight chill it first
- Mince shallot
- Dice chilli padi
- Mix all and ready to serve
Best of all brands
Ugly looking stuff that tastes so good.
All mixed and it's so spicy I need my chilled beer.
Non-spicy Topshells
(Hungry quote: I thought it’s breakfast with the cheese and ham)
Ingredients:
½ can topshells (preferred brand: Fortune)
1 clove garlic, diced
1 tbsp lime juice
3 slices honey ham
1 regular size cheese
Steps:
- Heat up pan with some butter/oil
- Fry garlic and ham
- Lower heat, add topshells.
- Pour the juice over and stir well.
- Cooking takes about a minute plus.
- Finally add the cheese.
- Ready to serve as snack.
